DOCUMENTATION SERVICES

MGA, a leader in the area of providing test services and equipment, also supports other activities related to testing and validation issues. Companies in many industries face challenges of not only testing their products, but also making sure that the proper documentation is done before and after testing is complete. Documentation requirements can be significantly different for a government agency as opposed to a commercial concern. MGA’s staff has years of experience preparing unique and specialized documents for various organizations.

Types of Projects

Over the years, MGA has supported many customers with their documentation needs. In many cases, the documentation services provided were done in parallel with test projects being done at either MGA or internal-customer facilities. Documentation can encompass many types of issues ranging from component verification/tracking all the way to complete preparation of dossiers for foreign government compliance. Projects demonstrating MGA’s experience include the following:
  • Part Verification/Tracking/Re-Use/Storage – For many component projects, the first step in preparing for a test is to make sure that the part being tested is proper (latest design level). Next, multiple tests may be done on a single part, and re-use schedules and part tracking need to be documented/coordinated. Finally, many OEMs require that parts be stored a minimum length of time. MGA has many program engineers who excel with these types of tasks.
  • Design Validation Plan and Report (DVPR) Development and Updating – Many component test programs start with the development of a DVPR. This working document is updated with results as testing is done. Eventually, the DVPR becomes a critical document required in any Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Engineers at MGA have years of experience with DVPR updating and management for many types of components.
  • Test Procedure Development – For many types of tests, the authoring of a suitable and detailed test procedure is extremely important. A well written test procedure will result in a test with high levels of repeatability and reproducibility at various labs. MGA engineers have either written or assisted in the development of many types of test procedures.
  • Government Certification Documentation – Documentation of certification test results vary depending upon the target country. MGA’s engineers have submitted documents to numerous governmental agencies throughout the world to support vehicle certification efforts.
