DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS – WISCONSIN FACILITY
Responsible for overall day-to-day and strategic operation of MGA’s Burlington, WI facility, including capital projects, staffing and Associate development, marketing and P&L, reporting to the President/Owner.
Areas of expertise include:
Aerospace-Related Testing:
- Project Engineer for certification test programs for general aviation, transport category, and rotorcraft.
A) Component Level Head Impact for Aircraft Cabin Interiors:
B) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Dynamic Impact Testing: - Part 23, 25, 27, 29 requirements – Passenger seats, flight crew seats, flight attendant seats, side facing divans, bulkheads, class dividers, and lavatories
Vehicle “Crashworthiness” Analysis:
- Front, side, rear, rollover situations.
- Evaluation of vehicle structures.
- Enhanced component design.
- This effort has included defining test programs and analyzing data in anticipation of new safety standards, providing recommendations for future vehicle improvements, and studies of vehicles concerning disassembly for analysis (“teardowns”), dimensional characteristics and material properties, with subsequent formal presentation of project findings to various client departments.
Conduct of “Principles of Vehicle Crashworthiness” Seminars and Classes:
- Development of course materials and course curricula.
- Topics have included: Reduction of injury measures, structural design, restraint system evaluation (airbags, seat belts, sensing systems), interpretation of crash data (electronic instrumentation, static measurements), safety standards, and test methodologies.
