Dummy Calibration Laboratory Leader and Deputy Quality Assurance Manager for the Wisconsin Operations. Responsible for the calibration of all dummies, sensors, and equipment to support facility wide testing services.
Areas of expertise include: Lab Manager of MGA’s Anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATD) Laboratory:
- Familiar with Hybrid III dummy family, Child ATDs, Side Impact ATDs
- Provide project-specific modification of ATDs for a variety of applications
- Development of calibration fixtures and procedures
- Calibration support for National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) programs
A. New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), FMVSS 201P, 208, 213, and 214 - Development of the SID-lis Build Level D dummy including repeatability and reproducibility analysis
- Extensive experience with the THOR Fix and Lx legs including current positioning procedures and injury outputs
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 403 & 404, Platform Lifts:
- Received contract for procedural development of FMVSS 403 & 404
- Received 2006 & 2007 NHTSA contracts for FMVSS 403 & 404
- Worked closely with NHTSA and platform lift manufacturers to develop testing methodologies for the current FMVSS 403 & 404 test procedures
Off-Site Testing:
- Provided multiple turn-key testing environments at customer’s facilities
- Testing involved data acquisition, high speed video, and use of ATDs
- Accident Reconstructions
- Project manager and engineer roles for full-scale testing including crash, rollover, and blast scenarios
Laboratory Accreditation:
- Five years of technical experience in ISOIIEC 17025 certification and A2LA accreditation including on-site audits, performance evaluations, and updating MGA-WI’s Scope of Accreditation
