Group leader for all activities related to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 208 “Occupant Protection”. Responsible for NHTSA and OEM point of contact, associate development related to FMVSS test procedures, and training of global OEM’s in relation to the standard. Project Test Engineer and resource for commercial projects related to FMVSS 208.

Areas of expertise include:

  • Analyzing and preparing final reports and data tapes for NHTSA
  • Test Engineer for NHTSA FMVSS 201, 208, 212, 214, 219 and 301 testing
  • Global training of OEMs in regard to FMVSS 208 test procedures
  • Producing training materials for diverse global audiences
  • Presentation of FMVSS 208 design concepts and test implementations
  • Formal processing, analysis, and reporting of OEM test results
  • Coordinating crash projects for OEM development
  • OEM vehicle to vehicle compatability impact research
  • Performing CMM/FARO vehicle measurement and data preparation
  • Assisting setup and calibration of electro-mechanical servo-hydraulic systems
