Materials Testing Laboratory group leader, and assistant Quality Assurance Manager of the Michigan Laboratories. Responsible for all material testing, laboratory improvements, calibration, marketing, and customer relations. As assistant Quality Assurance Manager, provides quality assistance to a diverse staff of engineers and technicians, calibration verification, internal and external audits for testing accreditation bodies, training matrices for staff, consumable verification, and other attributes to the quality system. Areas of expertise include:
- Four years of technical experience in ISO/IEC 17025 certification and A2LA accreditation including multi-assessor audits, submitting objective evidence reports, and updating MGA-Michigan’s Scope of Accreditation.
- Experienced in FMVSS 302 horizontal flammability testing along with vertical and 45° flammability testing.
- Experienced in various types of abrasion testing such as Martindale, taber, pilling, Wyzenbeek, and hexagon bar. Also experienced in visual evaluations and determining variations of wea
r.
- Experienced with tension, compression, adhesive peel, and flexural testing on Universal Testing Machines (UTM). Involved with various projects with fabricating and fixturing various test set-ups.
Environmental Exposure Testing
- Experienced in temperature chamber conditioning, colorfastness (Xenon, Carbon Arc, florescent, and Natural Weathering), dust exposure, and salt fog exposure. Expert in color evaluation, tested to XRite FM 100 Hue test for color evaluation determination. Expert in color eye and gloss meter evaluations.
