Jul 21, 2025

MGA Research Corporation proudly commemorates 10 years of crashworthiness and safety testing in Alabama. Since 2015, the Lincoln, AL facility has played a vital role in supporting the global automotive industry with world-class safety testing and engineering services .

Strategically located in close proximity to major OEMs and suppliers in the southeastern United States, our facility was established to meet growing demand for localized testing services. Over the past decade, it has grown from a regional test site into a critical component of MGA’s network of labs, offering full-scale crash, sled, and other mechanical testing capabilities.

The facility is backed by MGA’s 35 years of crash expertise, supported by a team of cross-trained engineers and technicians. We take pride in engaging with customers worldwide and providing solutions that meet their needs. Working with a diverse customer base gives us the knowledge and experience to quickly adapt and understand the complexities of vehicle solutions in the industry. Additionally, our Alabama location was the first MGA facility to combine full vehicle crash capabilities with component-level support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers. In many cases, components such as airbags, seats, and seatbelts have been previously tested at this facility well before their arrival in crash test vehicles.
Today, the facility is fully equipped to support testing to worldwide protocols and development test modes, including:
· IIHS Small Overlap (Driver/Passenger), Moderated Overlap 2.0, and Side impact 2.0
· F/CMVSS 208, 214, 301, 305, 204, 212, 219
· ECE R32, 34, 94, 95, 135, 137
· US NCAP Frontal, Side Moving Barrier, and Side Pole
· Latin NCAP and Euro NCAP Frontal, Offset Frontal, AE-MDB, MPDB, Side Pole
· Electric Vehicle (EV) and Hybrid (HEV) evaluations

With a global customer base that extends far beyond the Southeast, including both established OEMs and emerging vehicle manufacturers, the facility has supported dozens of vehicle development programs for worldwide markets, contributing to safer vehicles on the road today. Its central location has been instrumental in reducing program lead times for regional manufacturers while maintaining MGA’s rigorous standards for quality and technical accuracy.
Looking ahead, MGA plans to expand capabilities to support emerging and rapidly advancing technologies, including advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) evaluations to IIHS, NCAP, and other global protocols.
