Celebrating One Year of MGA’s Mexico Facility in Querétaro
Jun 23, 2026
In April 2025, MGA expanded its capabilities to Querétaro, Mexico to provide quality testing services to the rapidly growing automotive market in Latin America. Since opening, the facility has become an important extension of MGA’s overall testing network. From developing local expertise to achieving A2LA accreditation, multiple milestones over the last year have shaped the facility’s success.
Achieving A2LA Accreditation

MGA is committed to quality, consistency, and technical excellence. With Querétaro’s A2LA accreditation, our team demonstrates competence and repeatability across multiple mechanical testing areas, including corrosion and xenon weathering of materials, life-cycle durability, environmental testing, and airbag deployments.
This same standard is seen throughout the rest of MGA’s facility network, and we are excited to be sharing it with the rest of our customers on a global scale.
Expanding Capabilities to Meet Industry Needs
Over the past year, our lab has evolved into a full-service interiors testing operation, further investing to better meet our customers' needs. To broaden our ability to support development, validation, and qualification programs, the Querétaro facility has acquired:
- KUKA Robots: A second KUKA robot is now operational, allowing durability, ingress/egress cycling, and other robotic tests to run simultaneously rather than sequentially. This directly increases the number of available test slots and reduces scheduling bottlenecks.
- Electrodynamic (ED) Shaker: A 3-axis electrodynamic shaker has been installed in Querétaro. Newly added vibration testing capabilities will be up and running this summer.
- Buzz, Squeak, & Rattle (BSR) Capabilities: A silent shaker has been added alongside the new ED shaker, bringing BSR testing to Querétaro this summer. Clients will now be able to run a more complete DVP&R locally in Mexico.
- Materials testing: Gravel Impact, Corrosion, and Xenon weathering have been added to MGA Querétaro's scope over the past year, expanding the range of materials and surface durability tests available locally.
- H-point determination: Along with our newly added dimensional validations, H-point determination enables seat testing in Querétaro. The SAE J826 OSCAR is also available for rent here.
- Chambers: Over the last year, three reach-in and two walk-in chambers have been added.
This growth reflects MGA’s mission to continuously expand expertise where customers need it most.
Serving Local Customers
By providing testing services to a local customer base, our facility in Querétaro enables faster access and closer collaboration for partners operating in Mexico. Our team is equipped to streamline communication and project execution and to provide access to MGA’s broader network of laboratories across the rest of North America.
At MGA, we are proud of the interconnections among our laboratories, leveraging the strengths of multiple areas of expertise and capabilities within each facility.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate the first anniversary of our second international facility, we reaffirm our commitment to expanding capabilities, investing in talent, and supporting innovation throughout the automotive industry.
