MGA Acquires Major Structural and Durability Test Operation

MGA is excited to announce the acquisition of two laboratories located on 1628 Northwood Drive and 1150 West Maple Road in Troy, MI. These labs have played a major role in automotive and heavy truck development for many decades and offer the industry highly technical solutions to support product development. The new capabilities complement MGA’s overall offerings, enabling the provision of an entire suite of services to support safety, durability, and quality development across all vehicle types. The existing staff, equipment, and overall operations within these labs have been transferred intact to MGA to ensure a continued, uninterrupted service for current customers.

The services new to MGA include:

• Full vehicle MTS 329
• 4/6 post durability
• Large-scale MAST
• Direct-coupled body fatigue
• Specialized dynamometer tests
• Various high-force structural load and durability applications            

The staff comprises a team of people who are well-experienced in these disciplines. Going forward, MGA will proactively communicate with existing customers the detailed aspects of the new services as we continue to help our customers achieve their goals.
